A Love Letter to Our 1920s Spanish Home
Nearly five years ago, on an ordinary afternoon in Miami, we stumbled across a house we knew well, one that would quietly reroute the course of our lives. It was 1920s Spanish style, with faded terracotta rooflines, incredible archways, and a beautiful garden.
We weren’t even planning to buy a house. But something about it felt almost conspiratorial, like it was waiting for us. We were on one of our routine daily walks during those early Covid days when we noticed the “For Sale” sign calling to us. In Florida, you have seven days to change your mind after an offer. We told ourselves it was just an innocent flirtation, which naturally became a full-fledged relationship with plenty of highs, lows, and everything in between.
